I'm using a Desktop G4 running OS X version 10.2.3 with the Coolscan
4000 and it is plug-and-play. The firewire works transparently, just as
it is supposed to do, and is much less tempermental than the SCSI-based
periperals were. As has been discussed many times on this list, you will
want to purchase Vuescan if you don't already have it.
