For a whole lot less money, consider getting a Tele-Elmar 1:4/135. Much more than sharp enough, especially hand held. Only slightly slower than the 3.4. They were built for eternity and stop down to f22. Easy to focus with either a .85 or .72. I don't know if they were ever built with the silly slide-out shades, but my E-39 version uses the redoubtable and reversible 12575 clip-on shade which will protect the lens by absorbing bumps and by flying off in case of a serious crash at the front end. My advice is to avoid the 2.8's which lack contrast and, even with the eyes, were difficult to focus on any body. Remember that framing with any 135 on any M body is an acquired skill.
