The K64 slide does not seem to have lost it's luster at all! That 400 Telyt -- THIS is where it shines. You can't stalk wildlife with a 400 2.8 and R8/motor on a grip! I'm finding that the 2-element achromat is the way to go when designing a light (but slow) tele lens. Heck, even the modern Leica Spotting Scope is one - with a prism in the middle (to fold the path) and an eye piece. The tube (this is the one that fits in the middle, right?) must be tough to find - From what I know of it (very little!) you can still infinity focus with it in there - True? All one needs to do is play with these Telyts, and WHAM! you're hooked! Edward > >> I have a "new" scanner, a Polaroid SprintScan 4000 purchased used. There >> are a lot of old slides I can scan now.
