She does look like lots of fun. To technical matters: I do not know what software your scanner comes with, but be sure to check out Vuescan (www.hamrick.com). Also, on the image you posted there are quite a few spots--and the are distracting, especially the ones under her eye and just above her hair, and the one on the blue jacket in the background. I know it is a bit painstaking, but you really should remove those using the Rubber Stamp tool (assuming you use Photoshop).
