Uh-oh, I plead ignorance to the right click white balance feature of
Vuescan.  Looks like I need to visit the website.  I assume you mean you
include that sunlit neutral gray card in each roll or at least for each type
of color film you use.  Great idea.

The recent addition of the 'right click' white balance feature to Vuescan
has made all the difference.
I shoot an 18% gray card in full sunlight.
Using Vuescan and 'generic color negative' setting, I used that frame to set
my whitepoint.

Color balance pops into near perfection.
I use iCorrect plug-in in PS to tweak colors - usually to bring down the red
saturation a tad.
