I shoot an 18% gray card in full sunlight. Using Vuescan and 'generic color negative' setting, I used that frame to set my whitepoint. Color balance pops into near perfection. I use iCorrect plug-in in PS to tweak colors - usually to bring down the red saturation a tad.
