Graham,
    I don't think this shot is bland, and it seems to me that it does make a
statement; the vastness of the sky and fields, and the diminuative house in the
shot speaks to me about our small place in the world.  I think this shot might
benefit from a foreground element, but I enjoyed the shot nonetheless.  Just my
humble opinion.
