Not a bad idea - when you buy a Hasselblad, you get a free issue of
Forum, which is of course a house magazine, but Leica might do some kind
of tie-in with back-issues or even just a mailer.

is it possible to get some sort of LHSA tie-in with Leica USA, e.g.,
LHSA
application with new leicas? or perhaps sharing of mailing list with
warrantee papers (opt-in, of course) with a free issue of viewfinder ?

i would have probably joined 10 years ago if i had known about the LHSA
or had seen a copy of viewfinder.

of maybe leicas in hermes stores. (and for those who continually make
fun of hermes, they really do make the world's finest neckties). :-)
