During the trip the film went through a combined 7 times through carry on scanners, so when processed not one indication of damage effects. << I had similar experience. I flew to Europe last month. Checked some film in luggage, which I'd heard is not a good idea. When I asked the airline folks said it wouldn't be a problem going over, but maybe coming back. Didn't really understand. I felt they just wanted me to move on and not disrupt the flow as I asked at check in. I shot and developed several rolls of high speed stuff the first day in Paris. No ill effects. I wouldn't carry film in luggage again, though. Who knows what fate meets baggage! Hand carrying is better, I think. Next time I travel to Europe I'll probably wait and buy over there. It's less expensive, I found. Especially in Germany where I ran short and ended up buying a 2 bricks. On the return I hand carried all my exposed film in a big clear freezer bag. Went through the machine a couple of times, with a hand inspection of the N1600. All in all the film went through a half dozen carry on scanners. Again, no ill effects.
