"You better get you're a** over here before I sell it for more than the asking price" Initial inspection indicates that this is a very easy camera to use. Not much different than your average Nikon SLR. Easier than the Coolpix series of Nikons, which I thought had too many menus. I've taken a few pictures indoors using the popup flash. (not a good test for picture quality) I'll have some time to play with it tomarrow. So far what I have seen looks great. The few things that I've notice so far: It does not come with any storage media. NONE! The focus is very fast, maybe not as fast as my F5 but very close. Lag time, if there is any, is unnoticable. The cover/door for the compact flash card is very flimsy, guaranteed to break if you're not careful. The door for the battery is not much better. The controls are very well placed, the learning curve on this should be very short. The pop up flash has pretty decent coverage for its size. Do you or any other Lugger have any thoughts on the IBM micro drive? Is there any inherent lag due to its being a mechanical device as apposed to compact flash being solid state? I imagine there would be additional draw on the battery, but I wonder how much. IBM says that it draws 20 milliamps at standby and 250 when writing. How would that compare to compact flash? Any electronic whizzes out there? Sam Krneta - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
