Comparing digital images is VERY tricky business. You MUST know what has been done to them. Some cameras sharpen the image in the camera...and some may not. The amount of sharpening can have a very negative effect on different images. My point is, comparing "sharpness of picture" is a very dubious thing to do, unless you compare RAW images, with NO processing at all. Then all things are equal. It's like comparing a camera by using prints from different enlargers...with different enlarging lenses, and different papers etc. The results will be different, and may not be attributable to the camera it self.
