I live in a metro area well known for it's crime rate. No sense in creating temptation. Like you say it's a tool. I'd just as leave let the crooks think it is a cheap point and shoot not worth pawning. I tend to like your recommendations for filling as opposed to the tape alternatives. And tough noogies it is, since my heirs are more into the "Rebel" and "Stylus" class. SWMBO will use her F5 w/35-70 f2.8 because I really didn't give her a choice. But when I'm gone....
