I did so and got a lot of BS about everything but the subject. I assume you are referring to black gaffers tape. Yes, that is an option, but it looks tacky in my opinion. I was hoping to properly fill the lettering with black to the same quality level that the white is done. I doubt that I will ever trade up as if I want the electronics, I've got a pair of F5's for that. My heirs will be the ones worring about the value of my equipment.
