Nathan, here in hurricane country all our phone wires are in the air and DSL
is no problem to get as long as the distance to the substation is right.
So, I suspect that your first reaction that the Swisscom gnomes don't want
to bother and because of the governmental situation don't have to.
Perhaps with the coming broadband in cellphone networks you will be able to
escape in 12 to 18 months. CDMA technology is promising 3G speeds this
quarter in the US.
I am more impressed with your commentary now that I know that you are paying
by the minute.
