Presumptuous of me to comment on your photos, but here I go: Why presumptuous? isn't that what we all post for?:-) The photos draw me in; I want to see more details, and wish the photos are larger. Chloe is absolutely adorable and your photos show it. Where does the light on Chloe6 (http://www.leica-gallery.net/bdcolen/image-28145.html) come from ? As best I recall - and the photos of Chloe were shot in England last summer - the light on Chloe's face came from the ambient light in the restaurant, and a window to my left - her right. Did you shoot from the ceiling on Chloe3 (http://www.leica-gallery.net/bdcolen/image-28134.html) :-) ? Nope. I was standing, using a 21 - I'm 6'1, and towered over Chloe's Mom...I could have bent my knees and shot that way, but I wanted to get as much of the scene in as I could vertically..... I don't care for (don't get ?) the distortion in gh-on-pool-ledge.jpg (http://www.leica-gallery.net/bdcolen/image-28149.html) ? I love the tonality of these B&W photos on the screen. Bet they are awesome on print. Thanks....As to the distortion, that's what makes for the proverbial horse races...I specifically wanted that distortion...the swimmer turned into a frog..:-) B.
