Well, I'm not doing it today or tomorrow. And I am aware of the risks. But I
also know two people - one of whom is the physician-wife of a LUGer - who
were literally so blind they needed their glasses in the shower so they
would have a chance of finding a towel when they came out - and both now
function without glasses.

But, as I said, I'd do my left eye first. ;-)

You might want to do a search on Lasik surgery risks.  You'll come up with
articles like this one in USA Today:

It's too big a risk for me.
