I don't see how you still claim it's cheaper.  Do the numbers, I have.  It's
actually quite a bit more expensive than if you develop and print your own
film, or even have the drug store develop it.

Yes it does, but that wasn't the issue, price was, and digital, in my
experience, just isn't cheaper.

Also, you get the quality of film, and the control of digital, by scanning
film, which is the primary method I use for any serious work.

For happy snaps, I simply shoot film and get it developed and printed 2 for
1 for $14 at the local drug store...and they come out fantastic.  My time is
worth far more than the $20 ($14 plus film of $6) it costs me to get 76
pictures from the local drug store...and the quality (as I shoot with a good
camera and film) is superb, and as I said, throwing them in a box marked
"2002" is really inexpensive and simple.
