When we present a "photograph" on the LUG we should be presenting just that - not a photo illustration. If we want to show people a photo illustration, we should make it clear - as Sonny did - that that is what we are showing them. Don't get me wrong - I have no problem with photo illustrations; I just want them clearly labeled as such. B. However, we are not on the LUG presenting pictures that by their very location are, or should be, assumed to be real unvarnished reports of events. Presenting photos to the public in a newspaper, for example, is different, although one would be hardpressed to demonstrate that by looking at most newspapers these days. Oh well. For myself, I want to take pictures and show pictures that are real in their content and context, if not entirely in their light and shadow. bh - ----- Original Message ----- From: "geebeespaw" <geebeespaw@btopenworld.com> To: "LUG" <Leica-Users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> Sent: Saturday, May 11, 2002 2:44 PM Subject: [Leica] Photoshop dilemma > When is a photograph not a photograph? > > http://www.geebeephoto.com/html/photoshop_1.html > > > Graham > http://geebeephoto.com > > > -- > To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html > - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
