Brad, If the enlarger is to be moved with other items and for long distances, it should be packed very well, much the same way that the manufacturer packed it originally. If you are moving it for a short distance, all you need to do is place it so that it will not be damaged by other items. Follow the procedure below and you will not have any problems. Separate the lamp housing from the column assembly by removing the four screws that attach it to the column. Pack the housing in vertically its own box with generous packing materials to isolate the assembly from shock. Separate the baseboard from the column and pack either separately or together as convenient. By braking down the major components you will save on space.
