Subject: [Leica] B&W: Fast film and lens face-off

What's your favorite fast B&W film (approx ISO 400), and why? I'm
particularly interested in the nuances between Tri-X, HP5, Delta 400,
Neopan 400:

	Shadow detail
	Highlight detail
	Grain
	Sharpness (perceived)
Ability to scan well (e.g. without grain aliasing)
	Other (latitude, pushability, etc.)

Now, suppose you need more speed. Which do you prefer doing, switching to
a superspeed film, or using a faster lens? Say you're using one of the 400
films with a 50 Summicron. Now you need a speed boost. Which do you do,
use an f/1.4 or f/1 lens, push your current film, or switch films? Again,
which lens or film, and why?
