Then how would we possible know whether the new lenses are any better than the older lenses? Are we to simply take the manufacturer's word for the fact that a lens is "the latest and greatest?" I don't think so. And, yes, the 90 APO is a magnificent lens - and I owned and used one. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us]On Behalf Of Henry Ting Sent: Tuesday, April 09, 2002 8:35 PM To: MUGers@yahoogroups.com; Leica-users Subject: [Leica] Re: [MUGers] 90mm f2 APO vs. Nikkor 105mm f1.8 How old is your Nikon lens. The Leica APO is the latest and the greatest so testing it against an gold lens is not comparable. - --- darrell_jennings <darrell_jennings@yahoo.com> wrote: > I had never really done a direct comparison of these > lenses since I > rarely use the Nikon system any more, but I happened > to have some > Kodak Royal Gold film to shoot pre prom shots for my > son and his date > (I almost never shoot color print film).
