Hey John, didn't you say you took woodworking back in grammar school? I know
these guys are pretty popular around in these parts. They mostly do kayaks,
but I believe they have a canoe as well.

Get a Klepper folding kayak.  Wonderful quality, wonderful portability.
But be warned:  if you have a lot of canoeing experience, as I do, adapting
to a kayak does take some conscious thought.  Sort of like switching from
SLR to RF.
