I'm confused (what's new?).  I would think that if you are focused at
infinity, f-16 would DECREASE the intensty of the sun spot on the shutter.
I guess if you were not focused at infinity, f-16 would tend to make the
circle of confusion smaller and perhaps burn the shutter.
