The woman is caught at the right time in front of the tall brick section avoiding her head from getting lost in the BG. I wish she was running the other direction to get a little more profile of the face and fighting against the snow... Overall an ok shot maybe a 6/10...maybe not... http://slideone.com/PAWimages/week03alt.02.html Self Crit: I like the loneliness of the shot & the crossing of the swings. The big detraction is the two footprints in the snow. Using a slower shutter speed and having the swings blurred would help a lot too... Feel free to trash the shots, always looking for good reasons why they don't work! I give Self Crits and ratings to write down what I feel, not to boost ego or the shots. As many have said the photographer can be attached to the shots for the wrong reasons and their objectivity can be off. This gives me a way to see how far off I am in judging my own photos. Sometimes I'm on the mark sometimes I'm WAY off. I often look at stuff I've made prints of months or years later, all I can say to myself is 'What were you thinking??!!' A few new (new as in posted not recently shot) shots posted on the main site as well take a look if you want... - -- John Chicago, IL http://SlideOne.com ==================== - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
