I have a Z2X and I bought one for my Dad - both have been flawless and
have seen a lot of film - print, b&w and slide. I highly recommend it
for a $200 point and shoot. My Dad says it is the best pocket camera he
has ever used (he is a Nikon guy). My only complaint is that the focus
is passive and is a little slower than I would like, especially compared
to the Mini III or the Minilux, but they are not zooms.

Personally, I prefer the Rollei Prego 90 with its 28-90 zoom. It looks
a lot less elegant, and it is a lot bigger, but the lens is amazing
(mine has the Schneider but the later Rollei lens is reported to be
identical) and it focuses a lot closer. If you can stand the larger size
I would highly recommend it. My top AF P&S cameras are, in order:

Leica Minilux (40mm Leica lens, $~400)
Rollei Prego 90 (28-90mm Schneider lens, ~$160 - no longer produced)
Leica Mini III (32mm Leica lens, ~$125 - no longer produced)
Leica Z2X (35-70 Leica lens, ~$200)
Olympus Stylus 90 Wide (28-90mm Olympus lens, ~$250)

I have not tried the Minilux zoom - too much overlap with my existing
P&S cameras for that kind of money, and they stupidly dropped the
aperture-preferred metering mode that I use almost exclusively on the
Minilux.

The Z2X is plentiful in the used market, and Tamarkin usually has them
new for a very good price (in black I think). There is a really cool
green version too, and a blue one, but they are generally a bit more pricey.

Get one, you will love it.
