Where do I get one of those ancient Xenon thingies anyway? I didn't even know they made cameras in the stone age ;) I think this shot is a good example of how the out of focus areas DO matter - for good or for bad. What is around the subject influences how we see the subject. So, unless there is ONLY in-focus subject in the frame, how the out of focus area looks matters.
