Unless you are a seriously hardcore computer expert, don't try to connect it to a computer not manufactured by SGI. It's a great monitor, but the interface is utterly nonstandard and it takes a lot of work to get the hardware and software configuration right. And the company that makes the interface card went out of business 3 years ago, so there are no significant uprevs of it. I have on my desk at home three monitors: an Apple Studio Display, an SGI LCD monitor, and a Sony Trinitron. The Apple is the best (brightest, truest colors, best contrast, etc) and the Trinitron is the worst. I've never had any trouble setting up Macs with dual monitors.
