But be prepared for a few solid tongue lashes for being too protective. ;-) I don't think I'm being over protective - having worked and saved hard to buy something that I've always wanted gives me the right to try and keep it in good condition. Furthermore I want to make sure that I keep possession of the thing, rather than let some lowlife relieve me of it. I have always subscribed to the notion that cameras are tools and get treated as such. If it gets a few knocks and so on in normal use or the black finish gets rubbed off, then that's fine. But it has always been instilled in me to look after tools, be they cameras, chisels or whatever. They last longer that way and don't let you down at an inopportune moment.
