Subject: [Leica] my first 1.25 magnifier experience

i just got one of these jewels. seems like they are coming into the
US now.

i'll dispense with the observations about the quality, precision, etc,
althought they are all correct.

on my 0.85, the 1.25 makes focusing the noct, 75 lux and 90 cron a
swift and confident process. on the 0.85 the 1.25 also provides
a very near life-sized image so 2-eyed focusing becomes possible.

the 1.25 makes my 0.72 basically into a 0.85, so there were no revelations
there.

i don't wear glasses, so cannot comment on eye-relief. on the 0.85,
the 50mm frame line is comfortably visible, as are the LEDs.

i was concerned that the extra thickness of the magnifier might make
using the camera awkward, but this proves not to be true; eyes are
recessed in most people's heads.

i am so impressed, i am going to get another one.
