In this vein, I once (a long time ago) came across the N.Atlantic on
a freighter, and the purser sold tax free alcohol. At a time when a
bottle of B&B scotch cost $6 in N. America, he was selling it for
$.60, and Haig Pinch for $.75. Chivas Regal was $.90. Selection was
limited, but the price was right.
Fortunately my alcohol tolerance was fairly high at the time, as I
had been in training in Munich for most of a year.
