Nice to see you surface and thanks for your reply.  I will enquire about the
Elpro tomorrow when I re-visit the Leica dealer.  I must admit, now I have
looked more seriously at the R8, I am astounded by some of the prices.  For
example, £1,000 for a 2X extender is stratospheric compared to any other
make of extender.  There must be something in there to justify the cost but
I just can't find it right now.
