I always used to feel kind of smug that my many years of experience in the rugby scrum had given me the edge in shouldering my way towards the bar in crowded clubs. Now I can see that life in the professional photographer pack breeds the same kind of abilities.

When I was thinking of being 'in the middle of the action' I wasn't thinking of being surrounded by photographers - I was thinking of being surrounded by the people you are photographing.

I can't imagine that you got the wonderful results that we see in 'This is Our Work' by sending the doctors and nurses flying around you.

But maybe you did... :)
