The airline industry needs fliers more desperately than a fairly large group
of fliers need it.   Those using airlines for business travel only make up a
portion of the seats to be sold.   The others are fliers by discretion and
can elect to reduce their travel.

Cost recovery, I suspect, is partially covered by those that have to travel.
The balance of the cost recovery and the profits must, therefore, come from
those who elect to use the service and could decline to do so.

We should, when possible, not travel on the airlines that are not user
friendly and encourage others to do likewise.
