Hi Mark & Charlie,

Mark, remember the text you once wrote about the Royal Microscope
Screw, being typical dry British humor?....while in a heated debate
with Teutonic buddies in de.rec.fotografie[*], and searching for
more info, I came across a similar text, but in a rather odd
environment....:))))
(don't think these are your exact words, but the resemblance is
striking)

(do a text-search on 'photar', otherwise you might not find it....my
browser puts the 'find' on top, so I was reading the story below, and
asking myself what the heck that had to do with Photars....:))))

[*] 'Lupenobjektiv...'; good reading, right now we are quibbling
about whether the Minolta(Photar??) 12.5mm is f2.4 (my list) or f1.9
(inscription on someones lens))

Oh what the heck, CC to the LUG....:))

Bye,

     the inability to understand
