Cold War shudders. No, the Werra was a product of the OTHER side of the
fence -- it actually WAS a Carl Zeiss product, made at the Eisfeld facility
where so many rangefinders were produced for the German Army during the War
and which, today, is the Docter Optic binocular plant.

Werra is EAST German. Oberkochen is WEST German. No longer of relevance,
but a song of meaning to us old guys.
