I am very disgusted with 35mm scans' quality I have observed from my Minolta
Dimage Multi (original version software).

I have found that when using vuescan with the Minolta Scan Multi I can
indeed obtain results that far exceed my abilities. I would agree that the
original Minolta software leave much to be desired. The only time I seem to
find the Minolta software useful is when I wish to set focus to a given
position...and I still use vuescan to do the final scan.

Vuescan does very well with negative materials, and with some adjustments
seems to do well with chromes.

Hope this helps
