I would recommend you for METz flash. it is quite bigger than SF20 but more powerfull flash than SF20. It also big and bulky for your M6 as well. that is why i get SF20 flash. if you want, you can get the METZ 54 or 40 series flash. they are all good flash. I personnally like METZ54 45 flash for my leica. one is shoe mount and one is handle mount. METZ 54 did give me some red eyes on my pictures while the 45 Handle mount with bracket make it very high up so no red eyes. a weak point about SF20 flash is that it could not do Bounce and swivel. which make it limited in use if you want better result of natural light. I would suy go with metz 54. I will buy the metz 54 later on sometime this month (my engagement is drain out my pocket) and buy the CONTAX TLA 100 or nikon SC 17 TTL cord to use the flash off the camera. I will mount the flash on the bracket which make the flash seat about 10inches well above the lens to minize down the red eyes while still maintain the TTL function of the flash. so if you need powerfull flash, then go with Metz. if you want light compact less powerfull flash then go with SF20. either flash can be use off camera with nikon SC 17 TTL cord or Contax TLA 100 cord hope this help you.
