B. D., I see your point.  I don't depend on my photos for my family's groceries, but if I did I would want to be able to replace damaged equipment immediately, if not sooner, without having to learn how to use a new model.

I like my SL bodies but I don't depend on a "new" one until it's had a CLA.  If one were to fall into a fumerole it would take several weeks to get a replacement & have it CLA'd, vs. ordering a current model FedEx'ed from B&H in a day or so.
