R G Lewis, Southampton Row Richard Caplan, Princes Arcade, off Piccadilly Fieldgrass & Gale, in an industrial unit in Wandsworth - buy Amateur Photographer and phone first Don't know of any user groups Darkrooms for hire: best to check Yellow Pages, but there's The Independent Photography Project, Greenwich www.tipp.co.uk, near me. I think there's on in Brixton but at the moment I can't remember the name. I think there used to be one next door to the Photographers Gallery (see below) you could get in touch with Silverprint, who are probably the top darkroom equipment retailer at the moment - www.silverprint.co.uk - they will probably be able to help. You could also try the Association of Photographers, St. Leonards Rd., Old St. For courses starting in September, Floodlight is the best source. But try the London College of Printing. www.lcp.linst.ac.uk Galleries: The Photographers Gallery, Great Newport Street Focus Gallery, Museum St. Hackelbury in Kensington - can't remember the address - try Google Eyestorm - Maddox Street, W1 Canon Gallery, Victoria and Albert Museum V & A Print Room White Cube 2, Hoxton Square Revival, Deptford Market many, many more - check the press (Time Out, AP etc.) - --- Bob mailto:bob@web-options.com Monday, July 30, 2001, 11:35:14 AM, you wrote: > I am just about to go to London for 6 months - in part work, in part > (hopefully) photographic holiday. > I was wondering if anyone can recommend any: > - good camera stores - especially for used Leica gear > - good meeting points for other photographers.
