I think the venerable Erwin Putts would disagree as he stated:

'Pictures taken with the Noctilux at f/1,0 and f/1,4 (and adjusted shutter
speeds) were measured sensitometrically and the results were identical. This
lens is truly a full stop ahead of the Summilux-M 1,4/50'

Now, is he right or is he wrong?!
