I have the plain GG screen in my R8, and it does fine as a general screen, but when I get in slightly dim light, I always yearn for a little more in the way of focussing aid. Thanks in advance..............Julian - ----- Original Message ----- From: Tom Furlotte <tfurlott@midsouth.rr.com> To: <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> Sent: Tuesday, June 05, 2001 9:13 AM Subject: Re: [Leica] changing focusing screens in the R8 Dan, The screens are easy enough to change yourself through the lens mount. A tool is provided for this. I found the GG was a little hard to focus with wide angle lenses. The Microprism screen, however, is a jewel. I would recommend you try them at your dealer with your lenses as YMMV. Tom Furlotte Memphis TN USA tfurlott@midsouth.rr.com
