The US Military calls Velcro™ "Hook and Loop Fastener Type Material." If the story is true, we've likely spent millions and millions on this important research and then another few million somewhere for an oversight committee to look in to how we could have spent millions and millions on it in the first place. They can't tell you if they were successful in the research, that's need to know. :) I took a patch of the commercially adhesive backed variety from the local fabric store and put it on the flap of my F6 because unlike the F2 the F6 doesn't come with velcro attached. I don't generally use the spring clips on the Domke's (unless I'm not actively shooting or the bag is in transit) so the velcro is essential to keeping the top flap closed. I do know that if you get a lot of lint in the "hook" part it is much more quiet, (but also not as 'sticky.') Carpe Luminem, Michael
