Hello Tom:

Do you know of anyone creating a slit in the bottom of a M case so that it
can be used with the rapidwinder.

Possibly someone manufactures a botton case for the M with a slit.

I use my Leicas with the bottom of the case fitted on them so as to protect
the covering.
