As far as I know Leica has sold out every special edition they have come out
with. I do not want one but I do not mind Leica making money this way. It
certainly does not tie up any R&D time. You do realise that Leica is still
not in particularly good financial shape? If it means they can still make
the products I love, they can come out with any special edition they like!
