I have found that the rounded end of a small six-inch stainless steel rule from the hardware store (General brand, for instance, in the bright yellow plastic envelopes) is a perfect fit, and the round end accomodates whatever angle of approach is necessary, without destroying the screw slot. - --Michael Darnton ORIGINAL MESSAGE: Date: Wed, 14 Feb 2001 10:18:47 -0700From: John Collier <jbcollier@home.com> Subject: Re: [Leica] Re: Adjusting M3 rangefinder for infinity Message-ID: <B6B00C07.E573%jbcollier@home.com>References: I just use an unmodified screwdriver but some people buy a couple of screwdrivers that fit and bend the handles so that you can have theblade fit square. I only used capital letters to drive home the point that youdo not need to put anything but a very light pressure on the screwdriver to hold it in place. Make sure that the blade of the screwdriver fitsproperly: a snug fit into the slot and almost the same length of blade as there isslot. It is not a difficult adjustment unless you are a ham-fisted lout. Thereis much more to the adjust to make the sure that the focus is accurate atclose distances but that is more involvedJohn Collier _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
