The one-second test is for the grabbers, not the stayers so much.

The grabbers grab you... make you want to look at them for a full 3 seconds.
But many of these don't stay with you. You would not want them to.
Hang them on the wall and they could get old fast. Glitz.

But the stayers don't grab always you.
Hang them on the wall and the more you see them the more you like them.
Paint the wall and hang it up again.

Two kinds of photos as i see it.

Grabbers are great but i don't mind going for stayers.

Atget made stayers.

How many stayers also grab you the first time you see them?

I think Ansel's shots often do.
