Another honey is the FD 55mm F1.2 Aspherical.  Good overall performance wide
open that becomes phenomenal at F1.6.  Robust, sturdy construction but also
quite heavy.  Affordable too.  I got mine for $465.00 at a used camera show
a few years back.  Definitely my favorite Canon FD optic.
