Especially disturbing is the way the highlights are all blocked up to the point of posterization. I would guess that if these photos waere indeed shot and processed in the traditional way (which I doubt), it looks a lot like a classic case of T-Max "split curves" . If they were "photoshoped" then the curves weren't corrected properly.
