I am one of these.

German consumer labs charge DM 3 to DM 6 extra per framed roll of
slides, sometimes do not deliver framed slides overnight and sometimes
deliver the slides in a box. And you get glued together CS frames which
are difficult to open. So it is more convenient and cheaper to go for
sleeved film strips.

Otherwise, Germany is a paradise. There is a Kodachrome lab around the
corner (Stuttgart), film and processing is generally cheap and quick.
