How old were you when you > started this research? My English may not be good enough, but I was under the impression that "..articles from 1870" means a range, that is articles dating from 1870 and that "since 1870" indicates a start date. Semantics is interesting: does the "from 1870" refer to the date of the articles or to the date that the study started? But to avoid any confusion: my birthdate is in the 20th century. On my style of posting. I hate getting posts that are pages long just because the person copies and recopies the whole thread. That is why I delete most of the text I am referring to: to save bandwidth and get to the point quickly. Secondly: you can be argumentative in your approach and use the Lug as a forum to discuss whatever topic. I try to be explanatory and present what I have to say on a topic, either on my own or triggered by some post, as a mini-article. Some may find this pedantic and insulting to the opinions of others. I wonder why it is more appropriate and less insulting if a post is designated as "bullshit" or when you try to explain your own views and respect other views by letting them stand as they are and presenting a second opinion. I prefer my approach: it is indeed more explanatory than argumentative: I hate mudslinging: presidential candidates are better in this game than I am. I live in a world where you can present several views, compare them on their merits, even have heated arguments and continue to drink wine and enjoy each others company. But then we are discussing content, and do not need rude language to try to become the better of your discussion partners. I will not engage in any direct discussion with people whose rudeness is part of the debating style. In conclusion: I find the proper Lug etiquette difficult to fathom. Erwin
